A person is not what they appear to be;
what is seen is only one side of them;
the other, unseen side – their soul – is hidden within their body.
The meaning of life, death are the agonizing questions that “torment” this unseen side.
This book enlightens both life and death and offers hope.

SECTION I
- “For whatever the body suffers”
““For whatever the body suffers, the head is to blame” is the wisdom of our people. Whatever happens in our lives, our minds are responsible.
“Hodja, my wife, my children, and I live in a small room. We are cramped and do not fit. Help us,” a father begged Hodja.
“Put a little goat in your room.”
The goat bleated during the night.
“We did not sleep a wink last night,” the father said to Hodja early in the morning.
“Put the donkey in as well.”
The father complained to Hodja again.
“Put the ox in too!” was Hodja’s reply.
Early the next morning, the whole family went to Hodja.
“Have mercy on us. We cannot take it anymore!”
“Go and take the ox out tonight.”
They slept better.
“Now take the donkey out as well.”
They slept even better.
“Now take the goat out too.”
Now there was no problem at all!
They did not change their house. They changed their mindset.
The main issue is not the problem itself, but how we perceive it. Thoughts and imagination inflate and enlarge the problem. They can turn a spoonful of water into an ocean, hence the saying, “He drowns in a spoonful of water.” Indeed, there is water, but not enough to drown in.
Imagination does something else as well. For example, when you are planning to go on vacation, your imagination runs wild. It presents everything as beautiful. You imagine this and that, and you eagerly await the time of departure. But imagination is one thing and reality another.
The best vacation you had was in your imagination!
Be careful with your imagination. It can be deceptive.
